Our Story

Taar Willoughby was born from a lifelong love of fashion, creativity, and the magic of Ibiza.

Founded by Ibizan-based Dutch designer Taar Willoughby, the brand is rooted in a family history of creating. Taar quite literally grew up around fashion—her grandfather made clothes by hand, and her mother followed in his footsteps, owning a chain of clothing stores. From an early age, Taar was surrounded by fabric, pattern cutting, and design, spending her childhood immersed in the world of garment making and creativity.

Ibiza has always been home in more ways than one. Taar has been coming to the island since she was very young, staying in her family home built by her parents. The island’s spirit, colours, and effortless style have shaped her creatively over the years, becoming a constant source of inspiration. From sun-washed tones to bold silhouettes and playful details, Ibiza’s fashion influence runs through every collection.

Today, Taar Willoughby collections are designed from scratch by Taar and her in-house team at their design studio on the island. Every piece is thoughtfully created, from initial sketches to final fits, with a focus on individuality, quality, and feel-good dressing.

All Taar Willoughby collections can be found on the island in both of our Ibiza brand stores. The brand originally began with one boutique in Ibiza Town, and has since evolved with the opening of our second location, the Taar Willoughby Beach Store, located by Salines Beach. Our city store is open year-round and has become something of a local landmark—just look for the bold pink shop, we’re well known on the island and impossible to miss.

TAAR Willoughby is ever evolving, continuously bringing out new collections across both summer and winter seasons. Our in-house team is always working effortlessly behind the scenes to deliver fresh, updated designs. We produce only small quantities of each collection, ensuring every piece remains limited and exclusive to just a handful of our customers—while also being mindful of our planet and the island that inspires us every day.
