Me, I love myself a little Breakfast!!
Well, a big one exactly, it’s my favourite meal of the day!! Literally. Let me take you to my favorite breakfast spots on the island. #taarstips
First up - Petunia
A little boutique hotel where I used to go as a kid. Running around and jumping in the pool. This old charismatic hotel has had an upgrade over the past few years and now it looks even more amazing! Couple that with the most stunning view of Es Vedra and you have a wining combination. Sitting on their little terrace eating a fruit salad from their very own veggie/fruit garden and ordering an amazing coffee. Yes, I said “Amazing Coffee” as it’s kind of hard to find good coffee on the island. Their breakfast ends at 11.00am, so be on time. En reserve in advance.
Es Raco in San Jose
A little garden located in the mid centre of San Josep. It has been there for years and years and a place that brings back great memories for me - back in the old days they held the best Tuesday night garden parties. But back to the breakfast.. LOL they serve great juice from every type of fruit that you can think of. The Granola Bowl is a must try and for the guys they serve Mexican spice eggs to die for! So, don’t hesitate and visit the cozy “zen en cute” breakfast spot.
Classic but great - Passion
This season Passion opened up its doors to Ibiza Town.
If you are craving a healthy breakfast this is the place to go. I mostly sit outside on the Vara del ray. But in the winter they have more than enough room for you to sit inside. My fave is the avo shake and acai bowl. But their avo on toast with truffle is simply delicious – the bf always goes for that one.
Bar Es Cubelles
Want to keep it spanish and Simple you need to try Bar Es Cubelles. Go for some pan con tomate and sumo de naranja, breakfast of the locals. My favourite spot is bar/ restaurant in Es Cubels. Located in this adorable little village, it is super cheap and super ibicenco. Pan con tomate is what it sounds like – toasted bread with squashed tomatoes sprinkled with olive oil and sea salt – simple but oh so delicious!! If you decide to visit Es Cubels don’t forget to spot the mesmerising view behind the church.
Bar Can Bellortera
Hungover and yearning for a fry-up sandwich? Perfect cure for a hangover are the bocadillos at Bar Can Bellortera. A road restaurant at the round in Sant Jordi.
But boy are they good. Every guy (or even girl) that I ever send there, tells me that it’s the best they have ever had. There is even one with fried octopus and baked onion – truly superb!!
Cappuccino
Looking for a more fancy, classy kind of breakfast with an amazing view? This is the place for you. Capachino is located in the harbour area of Ibiza. A stunning view of Daltvila while sitting next to the water front. Watch all the impressive yachts come and go whilst waiting for your scrambled egg on toast and fresh juice. Just what you need to kick start your day!
Porroig
Love having breakfast at the beach? I mean, who doesn’t. Having a picnic is just my fav thing, so let’s shake it up a bit and suggest you bring your own picnic to the beach. Porroig is the perfect picnic spot – a little rock beach with fishermen houses close to Es Torrent. Bring a blanket plus your favourite banquet and you’re good to go. Dive in the sea after you’ve over indulged and swim away the meal. #greatstarttotheday.
